Chris Hall
Chris
was born at the end of 1945, raised in Chatham,
Kent and has lived in South Wales since 1982. He
explains, "I'd been a practising poet most of my
adult life and I didn't come to the visual arts in
a serious way until my mid-fifties, when I
enrolled on Allison Neal's Diploma in Fine Art at
Hereford College."
Since then Chris has been a
regular exhibitor at the Apple Store Gallery in
Hereford initially in Brockhampton where he was the
inaugural artist and at the current gallery in
Hereford itself.
Still active in the poetry
sphere, he has recently produced a CD of selected
poetry and hopes to become involved with further
publishing projects, both in the literary and visual
fields now that he has retired as a visiting lecturer
in art history, cultural studies and psychology for
the Community University of the Valleys.
